Outside In

Outside In uses a camera obscura to explore the convergence of the outside world on indoor spaces. Converting a room into a camera obscura allows us to view an inverted projection of the natural light and outside landscape on the walls of the room. This projection of permanent objects and fleeting moments of activity acts as an all encompassing back drop that takes over the indoor room creating a visual representation of the constant encroachment of the stresses of everyday life into our private interior spaces. Outside In also further explores the relationship between photography and permanence by capturing transient points in time of two places at once.
